Crew Coordinator – Training
Project-based position

Areas of Responsibility
  • Establish training plan for seafarers in compliance to statutory, regulatory, and Principal requirements.
  • Coordinate with accredited training centers and providers for endorsement of seafarers to courses and trainings schedules.
  • Maintain all training facilities of the Company in good operational order.
  • Coordinate with crew member on in-house training schedules, and monitoring and providing certificates of in-house trainings.
  • Coordinate with Training Manager for maintaining of an effective recording system of crews’ training and providing the relevant information to the Company’s other departments. 
  • Supervise the computer-based training to the crew.
  • Prepare request for payment of expenses regarding training.
  • Submit quarterly and annual summary reports on training evaluations, monitoring of trainings and training budget.
  • Maintain and update applicable training forms.
  • Inventory and accountability of training materials, supplies and modules.
  • Prepare training materials.
  • Other training tasks that may be assigned by Training Manager.
  • Report to Training Manager/General Manager.


Qualifications
  • Graduate of a baccalaureate degree, preferably Business Administration or related field.
  • Knowledge of the STCW 1978 as amended and Maritime Labour Convention 2006 regulations pertaining to the qualifications of seafarers and related working conditions.
  • Knowledge of seafarer travel documents, vaccinations and visa requirements.
  • Knowledge of Flag State manning requirements and qualification documents/endorsements.
  • Computer literate and proficient in written and verbal English.
  • Analytical thinking, flexible, team player.
  • Good moral character.
